The Last Fight is a documentary by Victor Vroegindeweij about Marloes Coenen, a superstar and pioneer in the rapidly expanding world of cage fighting. Marloes is in the aftermath of her career, but forces herself to give beating her arch-enemy her all. Even if it means paying the highest price.
Through Marloes’ story, a psychograph of a cage fighter is sketched. What makes a human being want to beat up another human being in a cage? What does your thirst for blood cost you? What happens when you’re at the top of the female fighters’ community? What do you become? And what will you be once the lights are turned off?
