The young sarangi player Vanraj Shastri dreams of becoming a grandmaster, just like his late guru Dhruba Ghosh. Following in his footsteps, he searches for the universal and timeless soul of the Indian raga. But in an India that is changing at great speed, the devotion his path demands clashes with Vanraj’s need to find his own voice.
