Big Dreams

The intriguing American plus-size actress Laurel and the Chinese director Louis become entangled in an intimate yet complex friendship. As the presence of the camera grows increasingly intrusive, Louis is compelled to confront himself and his filmmaking process. Big Dreams is a documentary about blurred boundaries, the longing for (self-)acceptance, and a painful lack of love.
