Each year, on the third sunday of october, more than forty thousand people run through the streets of Amsterdam, whether they are young or old, man or woman, white or black, rich or poor, thin or fat. The TSC Amsterdam Marathon is an incredible spectacle that falls somewhere between topsport, national holiday, entertainment and consumption. This movie tries to understand both the colossal, boisterous and diverse element and the individual, hyperfocussed and intimiate element.
