Can people become better citizens if they are constantly watched and judged on their ‘good’ and ‘bad’ behaviour? China is trying to figure this out, and is designing an elaborate system that digitally controls and ranks all citizens. An enormous social experiment that seems to be becoming reality, with great implications for civillians.
